Stella Hughes is a tattoo apprentice at Bodhi Joi Studio, with a background in graphic design, illustration, and painting. After spending several years pursuing graphic design professionally, tattooing was always the path calling her back. Stella enjoys tattooing her original weird creatures and funky animal designs, while her background in graphic design and commissioned artwork gives her a strong foundation for collaborating with clients on custom designs.

Stella is a self-taught painter and illustrator. While she originally focused on realism portrait painting, she is currently drawn to more original work. Her current favorite subjects are bizarre imagined monsters and creatures with exaggerated features and odd personalities.
